5.2 Inclusive Leadership Scale Instruments (ILS)
Inclusive leadership incorporates a sense of shared identity among group members and behaviors to reduce status differences within groups. Additionally, inclusive leaders foster employee participation and involvement in decision processes. However, inclusive leadership instruments are relatively new, although scholars have been advising leaders for quite some time to better address the challenges of a more diverse workforce (Northouse, 2021). Following the chronology described by Northouse, we present three instruments in this category.
