3.2.5 Community-Based Leadership Development Measurement (CBLDM)

Purpose

The Community-based Leadership Development Measurement (CBLDM) was used to evaluate the impact of Bank of America’s “Neighborhood Builders” program. This program selects top-performing community nonprofits and offers them substantial grants, leadership training, and networking opportunities among nonprofit leaders.

Assessing Neighborhood Builders with this unveiled twelve potential program enhancements, like refining leader selection and bolstering follow-up services for broader adoption post successful trials

Description

The CBLDM was developed by Matthew Forti of the Bridgespan Group, an advisory firm to mission-driven leaders and organizations. It employed a mixed-methods approach that included in-depth interviews to assess program outcomes.
