4.10.4 Servant Leadership Behavior Scale (SLBS)
The Servant Leadership Behavior Scale (SLBS) is a comprehensive tool designed to measure servant leadership behavior. It focuses on service orientation, a holistic perspective, and a moral-spiritual emphasis.
The SLBS consists of a 35-item, six-dimension measure. It was developed and published by Sen Sendjaya, James C. Sarros, and Joseph C. Santora in 2008. The authors built upon existing servant leadership models and examined modern leadership methodologies. The instrument underwent both qualitative and quantitative studies to establish preliminary psychometric properties.
